Secondhand.

Traditional And Modern Music of the Maori by T. Barrow. Maori music is Polynesian music. In its traditional and modern forms it is basically the same as that of Tahiti, Hawaii, Tonga, Samoa, and there are many other Polynesian Islands which share a common culture. In former times there was no separation of the arts of music; song and instrumental music were closely connected, but over the past two hundred years Polynesian music has been greatly influenced by European ideas and has changed in many ways. The old instruments have been cast aside, and the religious use of some song and dance has been largely replaced by a music of personal enjoyment.

First edition. A good copy with a slightly rubbled and bumped card cover. Some pages with minor spots and the hinge shows a sign of looseness.
