A substantial pre-OED dictionary containing many examples of words in use.

Fair leatherbound two-volume set with much wear and marks accumulated.  Hinges are cracking, and the spine decorations and gilding have almost entirely disintegrated.  Ends of the spine are damaged, esp. the first volume with a large piece of leather missing from the top.  Interior is foxed but otherwise good.
