This book tells us some of the things we often wish to know about shore creatures. It describes, in very simple language, the living conditions of the shoreline and the habits and habitats of many of hte plants and animals which life there, as well as something of their interactions and how these influence the pattern of distribution across a stretch of shore. As well as widening the knowledge of seashore ecology and making beachcombing more satisfying, it is hoped that this book will create amongst its readers a deeper awareness of, and a real concern for shore life.
