Stephen served as editor to several publications on mountaineering whilst also writing volumes of philosophical, historical and biographical importance. Hours in a Library collects many of the essays of Sir Leslie Stephen which were published in periodicals such as the 'Cornhill Magazine'. Each essay sets a writer's work in its historical context, examining their philosophical and moral qualities and comparing authors to one another.
All three are fine copies without slipcase. Minor bump to the first volume spine.
