Icebound - The Greenpeace Expedition to Antarctica

Author(s): Stephen Kinght

Antarctica and the Sub-Antarctic | Secondhand

In January 1987 the MV Greenpeace left New Zealand on a voyage to Antarctica. Greenpeace's aims were to establish a base dedicated to scientific research, and to monitor activities of countries who consider it politically and economically advantageous to maintain a presence in the world's last wilderness. Icebound is the first independent account of that voyage.
