Renowned sports car racing historian Janos Wimpffen presents the third in his series of magnificent photo histories. Scores of photos capture each year's racing action with detailed captions and chapter introductions. The three-litre Prototype formula brought advanced F1-style technology to sports car racing. By the mid 1970s, a variety of GT cars were competing such as: Ford Capris, BMW CSLs and Porsche's new 935. By the end of the Silhouette era, designers looked to the Group C formula with a new breed of cars that included the Lola T600, March-BMW M1C and Ford C100.
