An autobiography from acclaimed Australian-born New Zealand medical figure and nurse, Hester Maclean.  She served in World War One, and was the founding Matron-in-Chief of the New Zealand Army Nursing Service, as well as one of the first nurses to recieve the Florence Nightingale medal.
