"Heritage Hamilton" is the first major book on Hamilton history to be published in almost 30 years. With over 90 colour photographs and 104 pages, this outstanding book features 36 properties that have heritage protection in the Hamilton City Council's District Plan. All of the 105 heritage properties are indexed and shown on location maps. The featured buildings have been chosen for different reasons. Some are opulent buildings, reflecting prosperous times and the expansive ideas of early architects. Others are more modest but no less important - the ploaces wher Hamilton families have worked, danced, worshipped and raised their children. "Heritage Hamilton" is the work of media arts and journalism students from the Waikato Institute of Technology and commissioned by the Hamilton City Council.
