Local DescriptionA collection of, and expansion on, letters sent to the Southern Cross Newspaper in defence of Henry Williams against the charges of Sir George Grey. Specifically the letters deal with land purchases made by missionaries on behalf of their children, and Grey's handling of these claims. Has been rebound in a brown half leather binding. Spine and leather have scuffs and chips. Title page is soiled and damaged by insects. Some the early and late pages show wear. Some tanning and foxing. |
